Kansas star gets Big 10 offer

After a down year in Kansas last year, the class of 2007 is brimming with talent and Overland Park (Kan.) Shawnee Mission West inside linebacker/dual-threat quarterback Blake Lawrence is one of the area's best bets.
And his offer list has grown by another after a new offer on Wednesday.

"Blake has officially received offers from KU, K-State, MU and Michigan State," his father, Michael Lawrence, said. "He received the Michigan State offer yesterday. He communicates regularly with Wisconsin and plans to attend a camp there this summer. He is also receiving mail from several other schools."
Lawrence, who is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, is a true two-way threat.
"Missouri is recruiting Blake as a quarterback based on his performance throwing the ball at a camp last year," his father said. "The others are recruiting Blake as an outside linebacker/safety and will give him a shot at quarterback if that is what he absolutely wants to pursue."
Lawrence will be one of the most highly-regarded prospects in Kansas City and in the state of Kansas for the class of 2007.
