Kansas sleeper enters spotlight

La Cygne (Kan.) Prairie View athlete Brody Eldridge may not yet know at what school or even at what position he will play college football. But one thing is certain, he will play at the Division I-A level.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound versatile junior has manned no less than four positions on both sides of the ball for La Cygne coach Sterling Hudson, including wide receiver and linebacker.

“Brody is a great athlete who really understands the game,” said coach Hudson. “The Oklahoma State coaching staff said he could play four or five positions for the Cowboys.”
Hudson knows Eldridge is poised to shed the sleeper label in a big way.
“Brody is the best kept secret in Kansas,” said coach Hudson. “I have coached bigger kids, faster kids and stronger kids, but never one kid that was this big, fast or strong.”
With campus visits to Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Christian, it is clear that Eldridge has the potential to be a solid Division I-A player and a name to keep an eye on.
Eldridge earned first team all-district honors last year.
