Kansas safety planning on visit

Riley (Kan.) Riley County safety Jordy Nelson has had a date set for his only Division-I visit for a while. Is he still making that trip?
"I'm still planning on visiting Kansas State this weekend," the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Nelson said. "I haven't talked to the coaches in a while, but I haven't been told anything different either."
Nelson has been keeping busy the past ten days making some official visits to a couple local schools.
"I visited Washburn (Kan.) University on Jan. 18 and then I went to Emporia State (Kan.) University on Jan. 23. Both of those schools are offering me scholarships and the opportunity to play both football and basketball."
Nelson isn't ready to claim a favorite at this point, because he wants to see what the Jan. 31 weekend brings.
"We'll see how things lay out after this trip. Then I'll have a good idea of where I stand."
