"I'm getting calls for both football and basketball," the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Gaskins said. "Football is more serious right now."
Gaskins is getting calls from Kansas State, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri an Wyoming for football.
"I talk to the K-State coaches all the time," Gaskins said. "I've been to all four games they have had at home. Each time I go up as a recruit kind of like an unofficial trip."
Gaskins is playing quarterback for Manhattan this year and expects to be back on the field this Friday.
"I'm healed up. My ankle was injured, but I'm healthy. I'm headed back out there this week for our game against Salina (Kan.) Central."
Gaskins didn't know his individual stats, but did know his team was 2-2.
"We've lost two games. This is my first year to be playing quarterback. I'm getting better as we go."
In basketball, Gaskins is receiving interest from K-State and South Alabama.
"I'm the point guard on the basketball court. We'll see how it all goes. I'm sure more schools will be interested in basketball when that season gets here."
