Kansas OL weighing options

Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest offensive lineman Jon Beuthin tried his best, but his best wasn’t good enough to help guide his team into the state playoffs.
”We lost to Blue Valley North,” Beuthin, who is 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, said. “It was tough, but I think our line and our team played a lot better than many thought we would. I worked really hard and played pretty good ball.”

Good enough ball to earn a scholarship from Kansas and gain interest from Kansas State and Missouri.
“I’m going to take an official visit to Kansas on Nov. 30,” Beuthin said. “Missouri is very close to offering me a scholarship. The coaches there say they really like what they see. And Kansas State wants a highlight tape of my senior games.”
Beuthin said he has talked with his family about the possible departure of Terry Allen at Kansas and how that could factor into his decision.
“I hear that if he goes all of the other coaches will go, too,” Beuthin said. “I really like the offensive line coach at Kansas, but if he’s gone then I don’t know where I stand. But I do like many other things about Kansas.”
