Kansas OL plans to be busy

Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas offensive lineman Jake Morin is one of the top offensive players in Kansas City and his offer list proves it. The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder already has offers from Air Force, Army and Navy, but some heavy hitters are definitely interested in him.
"Actually I just talked to coach Shawn Watson at Nebraska on the phone," Morin said. "I'm hearing and getting a lot of mail from Iowa State, KU, K-State, Missouri, Illinois, Northwestern and Wisconsin."
"My coach told me that Wisconsin Iowa State and Nebraska and K-State – they're all pretty close to offering, and if I go to their camps and have a pretty good showing they'll offer. And also Northwestern is serious, too and, the same way with them."
Some coaches that he's talked to this spring have left a lasting impression.
"I talk to Jeff Koonz from Iowa State, Warren Ruggiero from K-State, Nebraska's Shawn Watson and Dave Doeren Wisconsin," Morin said. "They're all really good guys. Coach Koonz from Iowa State has been really impressive. He just seems like an upbeat guy and really positive, but he seems like he can be serious too. He just seems like a good guy. I really like Iowa State's facilities, too."
"I wouldn't say exactly that I have a favorite, but I hadn't really heard much from Nebraska, but I was born in Omaha and they were always kind of my favorite team growing up and I'm just really glad I'm hearing from them. I'm going to their camp for one day on June 9th, and I'm going to work with their offensive line coach. I also get to meet coach Osborne."
Morin plans to be busy this summer. He's going to camp at Missouri's one-day camp in Kansas City on June 3, Kansas' lineman camp on June 7, Nebraska on June 9, Iowa State's camp on June 14, Wisconsin on either June 16 or 23, K-State on June 22-25 and Northwestern on June 17.
"I'm planning on deciding after my senior season, but if it really felt right I would do it before or during the season. But it will most likely be after. This summer when I go to camps and stuff I will be able to get a better idea on everything though."
"I would say my top three things I'll base my decision on are tradition, current success and coaching staff. The facilities would come after that."
