Kansas OL honored with selection

Pratt, Kan., offensive lineman Scott Krehbiel picked up five scholarship offers earlier this spring and recently was tabbed as the top player in the state of Kansas for the Class of 2006.
"There is nothing new as far as recruiting is going," the 6-foot-7, 272-pound Krehbiel said. "I still just the five scholarship offers. I got some mail from Michigan the other day, but that is the only new school sending stuff."

Krehbiel was chosen as the Sunflower State's top football player this year last week in the Rivals.com preseason Kansas Top 10. The distinction was news to Krehbiel.
"I am honored to be thought of as the top player in the state," he said. "That is an honor out of all the players in the state to be chosen as the top one."
Krehbiel currently has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska. With five offers already in his hand, the need to get to camp isn't as great as some players, and that fits Krehbiel's schedule just fine.
"I'm not going to any camps this summer. I'll be working at the elevators during the summer for harvest and that will take my time during the camp season."
