Kansas OL has first offer

Silver Lake, Kan., offensive lineman Logan Pegram has had a strong spring and summer campaign. The 6-foot-4, 303-pounder looked good at last Fridays' NIKE Training Camp in Columbia, plus he's already picked up his first scholarship offer.
"Colorado State just offered in the past month," Pegram, an all-area pick in 2006 said, "They offered about a month ago. It was really exciting to pick up the first offer. You know you have that first offer extended and you can just work from there."

Colorado State assistant Dave Arnold offered Pegram, but the standout lineman said he hopes to continue to add to that total this summer.
"I'm really open," he said. "Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri are showing the most interest, so they would probably be my top schools. I'm going to try to make it over to Kansas State and Iowa State for a day.
"If I grew up following anyone it would probably be Kansas or Kansas State because I'm from Kansas."
He has a few things in mind when it comes time to pick the right school.
"At the beginning of recruitment I wanted to try and make my decision before school started, but it's been somewhat slow so I think I still want to get it out of the way before the season starts so it's not a hassle during the season," he said. "I just want to make sure I find a place that I can be for four years and get along with the coaches."
Pegram said he's working hard with his teammates to have a repeat of the 2006 season.
"We open with Centralia," he said. "We were 14-0 last year and state champs. I think we have a good shot of a repeat. It should be exciting. We have everyone back."
