Kansas LB to take a trip

Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley West outside linebacker Andrew Gachkar is heading to Columbia, Mo., this Thursday for an unofficial visit to Missouri and it's a visit he's really excited about.
"I don't know if it's something where I'm going to go and commit," Gachkar, who picked up an offer from the Tigers last week, said. "I wanted to go up there and visit with the coaches and meet with Gary Pinkel. I'm going with my good friend Trey Hobson, so it'll be nice to see what he thinks about it, too."

Gachkar, who is 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, is one of the new names that have popped up on the radar screen in Kansas City the past few weeks. He first made a name for himself on the football field last year, but then clocked a 3.88-second time in the shuttle at the State College NIKE Training Camp and he's also ran as fast as 4.42-seconds in the 40 at other events.
Missouri isn't the lone team that's showing interest in Gachkar.
"I received a call from Kansas coach Clint Bowen (Tuesday)," Gachkar said. "Coach Bowen told me they're interested in offering me, but he hasn't yet because he has to get it approved first by the head coach (Mark Mangino). He said he'll have a decision by the weekend on the offer."
Gachkar had 83 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions in 2005.
