"We're off to a 3-2 start for the year as a team," the 5-foot-11, 194-pound Waters said. "I've been doing well in each of our games."
Waters plays both ways for Blue Valley lining up at tailback and fullback on offense and at middle linebacker on the defensive side of the ball.
"I am averaging 17 tackles per ball game so far on defense," Waters said. "On the offensive side of the ball I don't know what kind of stats I have, but I have not had a negative rush all season long."
While Waters does not have any scholarship offers, he has had recent contact with Kansas State, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa State as well as Division-II powers Pittsburg State and Northwest Missouri.
"I've gotten phone calls from most of the schools. And a lot of mail from them all. My goal is Division-I. I think if I keep working hard that chance will come."
