Kansas LB picking up more interest

Liberal, Kan., linebacker Mackenzie Rosel has been to both in-state schools, Kansas and Kansas State, on unofficial visits this season, but this weekend will mark the first official visit of the recruiting year for one of the Sunflower State’s best athletes.
“Mackenzie is going to visit Kansas State this weekend,” Liberal coach Steve Warner said. “He is looking forward to the visit. It is the only one he has on the calendar right now. I really don’t know if he will take others or not.

“Kansas was a school he had some interest in, but things have kind of stopped with them. They just don’t seem like they will be offering a scholarship to Mackenzie, and he will pursue the options that will be in front him, which right now is Kansas State.”
One new school is beginning to show interest in the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Rosel is Oklahoma.
“The Oklahoma coaches wanted some film of him last week, or so,” Warner said. “We sent it down there and they are going to evaluate it and then decide what to do after that.”
