Kansas LB closes out career

Conway Springs, Kan. linebacker Nathan Pauly didn't have to look far to find a school he could fit into.
"I think it was a pretty easy choice for him to make," Conway Springs coach Mark Bliss said. "His brother Eric is there and things have worked out well for him. He's a Butkus Award finalist for Colorado State. It just seemed natural for Nathan to go after him."

Despite the family connection, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Pauly didn't jump right after Ram coach Sonny Lubick offered the scholarship.
"Nathan kind of waited around to see if maybe Kansas State would offer him. But then he decided to go on and pick Colorado State rather than wait around. They wanted him badly, so he went."
Pauly helped lead Conway Springs to a second consecutive state title this year while recording 164 tackles and three quarterback sacks.
