Kansas LB adds two new offers

Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas linebacker Lance Brandenburgh has become a popular guy. With offers already on the table from Kansas and Nebraska, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker has now added new scholarship offers from a Pac 10 and a Big 12 team.

According to his father, Chuck Brandenburgh, the linebacker has picked up scholarship offers now from UCLA and Colorado.
“Lance is really excited about both offers,” his father said. “I think he really wants to see what it’s like out at UCLA and will probably take an official visit there, too.”
There was some talk that Brandenburgh could commit to Nebraska at the Huskers’ summer camp here in two weeks. But with the new offers on the table, Brandenburgh might decide to wait things out.
“He’s going to go up there and see how things are, but I think he’s leaning more now toward taking his time and seeing what some schools are like on visits,” Brandenburgh said about his son. “He knows coach Downing really well and I don’t think you can rule anything out, but he’s really excited about the two new offers and the other teams that have called him.”
Kansas State, Colorado, Kansas, LSU, Missouri, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Texas A&M are the other teams that are recruiting him heavily. The Aggies are the newest entry to his list after a late May phone call.
“He was excited about that their call,” his father said.
