Kansas juniors land major offers

It looks like the Miami Hurricanes are going to be a force in the Sunflower State in the class of 2009 also.
After already landing five-star linebacker Arthur Brown of Wichita (Kan.) East in the 2008 class, Miami has extended scholarship offers to two new prospects from Kansas in the 2009 class.

According to Brian Butler of Potential Players, Miami has just offered scholarships to Mulvane, Kan., running back Huldon Tharp and linebacker Jaydan Bird of Andover Central.
"They both got the offers here recently," Butler said. "Miami was very impressed with what they saw from them on film."
Bird, who is 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, already had a scholarship offer from Kansas State. He missed most of his junior season with at Andover with an injury and he'll play his senior season of football at Conway Springs. Tharp impressed recently at the U.S. Army All-American Combine on both sides of the ball.
