Kansas JC TE not ready for a decision

Independence (Kan.) Community College tight end Ray Gurley has not made his choice, yet.
In an e-mail sent to Rivals100.com from Gurley, the 6-foot-5, 256-pound tight end was believed to have made his intentions known.

"I have committed to the University of Oregon," the e-mail read.
Rivals100.com has finally tracked down Gurley.
"That wasn't sent by me," Gurley said. "That is my e-mail address and my cell phone number, but that isn't from me."
Independence coach Kent Keith did not know if his star had made a choice or not.
"That would be news to me," Keith said. "But it wouldn't shock me. Oregon's assistant coach wanted to offer him after viewing Ray in practice. But (Oregon head) Coach (Mike) Bellotti wanted to see him in action in a game."
With Gurley not having played in a game for Independence this year the game film wasn't available.
"We waited until we had a couple games under our belt and put together some film for Oregon," Keith said. "We FedExed the film out Monday first thing. They would have gotten it on Tuesday. It wouldn't shock me at all if they called Ray directly since they have his number."
"He has offers from K-State, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, the list goes on and on. I thought he was leaning hard to Nebraska. But if he is sending e-mails saying he has committed, it could be true. The junior college coach is always the last to know."
Gurley has lined up official visits to four schools and an unofficial to another school.
"I'm going to TCU unofficially on Oct. 4. They are ten minutes from my home in Texas, so I owe it to them to check it out. Then Tennessee on Nov. 8 is official. And Mississippi State on Nov. 22 and Arizona on Dec. 6."
Gurley is still looking at lining up his final two trips.
"I'm working with Florida and Oregon at setting up dates for official trips."
