Kansas JC QB receiving more attention

Independence (Kan.) Community College quarterback Forrest Mazey is slowly fielding more interest from Division-I schools.
"Forrest is hearing from a few different schools in the past two weeks or so," Independence coach Kent Keith said. "Temple is starting to call some. They're really the only new school to join in. Tulsa came by the school last week."

Mazey is currently third in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference in passing yards with 601 to go along with his two touchdown throws. He is completing only 37.1 percent of his passes but has the third highest passer rating in the conference.
"Forrest still doesn't have any scholarship offers," Keith said. "When Tulsa was here we thought they might be going to offer. They didn't while they were here, but that could be coming anytime."
Mazey continues to receive interest from San Jose State and Northern Illinois as well.
"San Jose State has stayed in touch with us as well. And Northern Illinois has been with him from the beginning. Both of those teams are good situations for a quarterback. San Jose State's team is looking good this year with their win over Illinois and they're playing well."
