"Gary is still talking to both K-State and KU," Heights coach Rick Wheeler said. "They are still waiting on his grades from the semester and his test scores. Our semester ends this coming Friday, but you never know how quickly the grades will be finalized and on his transcript."
Both in-state schools have talked to Wheeler about having the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Chandler visit their programs.
"They have both said they want to bring him in," Wheeler said. "But, they want to see the grades and the score before they do. I think they'll both put offers out there for him if they think he's going to make it grade-wise."
As a senior, Chandler starred as a running back in Wheeler's offense. He rushed for 1,905 yards and 28 touchdowns while leading Heights to a 10-1 record. Chandler has stated previously that the schools recruiting him are doing so for defensive back, a position move he does not have a problem with."
