Kansas DB adds another offer

Stanley (Kan.) Blue Valley safety Trey Hobson is one of the hottest prospects in the state of Kansas and now he's added a second offer to go with one he received two weeks ago.
"I have a new offer from Ball State," Hobson, who is 5-foot-11 and 168 pounds, said. "The new Ball State DB coach, Sidney Powell, is recruiting me. He was telling me about some of the DBs that were there that went to the NFL. It was really exciting to get an offer from them."

But it's an offer from the Missouri Tigers that still looms large on his mind.
Missouri assistant and ace recruiter Andy Hill offered Hobson a scholarship about two weeks ago, and he plans to check the Tigers out up close and in person this week.
"I'm going up there Thursday with my father and with Andrew Gachkar," Hobson said. "He's going with his mother, and I'm going with my dad. We'll see how it goes, before I talk about committing. I want to get a feel for the campus.
"We're going to go up there and meet with Gary Pinkel for the first time and see what it's like to be around him."
Northwestern coach Kevin Johns was also by school on Tuesday and Hobson said he's thinking about maybe camping this summer with the Wildcats.
