Kansas athlete to take unofficial visit

Two-star athlete Nathan Hickey of Lawrence, Kan., did all he could do to help his team win a station championship. However, in the end his efforts weren't enough as Lawrence High dropped a close one against Olathe East in the state semifinals.
"It was a tough loss," Hickey, who is 6-foot-4 and 192 pounds, said. "When you lose, especially in your senior season, everyone wishes they could have played better. I felt like I had a good game, but I should have done better. I'm not going to say I played good when we still lost."

Hickey, a sleeper prospect that could project at a number of different positions because of his size and speed, said he's kind of up in the air about his future.
"A few schools have backed off after I failed to take unofficial visits to their school during the season, but I just couldn't because of my season," Hickey said. "Kansas and Air Force are calling me a lot lately, though. I think I'm going to the Iowa State game this weekend here against KU.
"I haven't gotten any offers yet. I know they're both interested in me right now, but I don't know what they feel about an offer right now."
Hickey said he wants a good education first and foremost.
"I am looking for a school with a good engineering program at the school," he said. "After that I'd just like to find a good school with a good Christian community that I could fit into."
