Kalambayi wins MVP award, sets next visit

Rivals100 linebacker Peter Kalambayi just wrapped up the VTO camp this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is planning a visit this week, where is he headed?
"I was just at the VTO," he said. "I got the linebacker MVP. I thought I did alright considering I haven't played football in awhile."

From here, Kalambayi is heading to Virginia.
"I'm going to Virginia on Wednesday, that is the only visit for awhile," he said. "I've seen the campus already, so I just want to go and get a chance to see the place and the players up there."
At last check, Kalambayi claims 23 offers with his latest coming from Oklahoma and Boise State.
Does he like any schools?
"I'm trying to figure out how I can narrow things down," he said. "I don't really have a favorite.
"I would say Stanford, Virginia, Oregon and North Carolina are a group that sticks out. They just focus on academics and have good football."
Kalambayi posted 80 tackles, six sacks, 11 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery despite playing in just eight games due to a high ankle sprain as a junior.
