Kaiser lands first offer, names leaders

Offensive tackle Jacob Kaiser out of Greensburg (Pa.) Central Catholic landed his first offer recently. Who did the 6-foot-8, 285-pounder get the scholarship from?
"Last week I finally got my first offer from Youngstown State," he said. "I'm really happy to finally get it, but of course now I'm looking for something a little big bigger."

On May 1st, Kaiser headed to Rutgers for the Elite College Combine.
"I loved the experience there and thought is was the best combine I've been to," he said. "I thought there were a lot of great players and overall I felt I did well. I ran a 5.5 in the 40-yard dash. In the one-on-ones, I did well too. Overall I felt like I showed the coaches attending that I'm a big man that has the ability to stay low and I have good feet."
Currently two schools stand out for the Keystone State prospect.
"I'd say Virginia and Penn State are my top schools," he said. "My entire family is huge Penn State fans and I've been watching them since I was little. Meanwhile, I used to live in Madison, Virginia which is about 30 minutes away from UVA and I watched them growing up too."
Earlier this spring, Kaiser took a trip to Charlottesville.
"I went there for my spring break and it was a great visit," he said. "I thought the facilities were awesome and I got to watch them practice. It looks like they'll be pretty good next year. I like Virginia a lot because they produce great offensive linemen including D'Brickshaw Ferguson.
"I also got to spend time with offensive line coach Dave Borbely when I visited. He sat down with me and talked about my tape and discussed what I have to work on. I enjoyed my time with him and he seemed very nice and dedicated to coaching. He seems like he's a guy that teaches very good technique and can make me a better player."
Kaiser plans to take in a few camps this summer to Indiana, Purdue, Wake Forest and a four day camp at Virginia.
