Kabongo adds two more scholies

Rivals100 defensive tackle Masengo Kabongo was one of the star players in attendance at the Elite College Combine just over a week ago. The 6-foot-3, 279-pounder had a solid showing which resulted in a couple more offers.
"It was fun and I think I did alright," he stated. "I showcased my quickness and ability to get off the ball. I fired off my blocks. The experience there was great. That was probably the first time I went up against players on my level and everyone was pumped up. It's something I'll never forget."

After the event, Kabongo picked up two more offers on Wednesday.
"I got ones from Illinois and Colorado," he said. "I also have NC State, Clemson, Maryland and Connecticut. Right now every offer is about the same at this point. I'm just looking for a school with a good education, solid football, tradition and good people and coaches."
While six offers are in the bag, plenty of other colleges are still very interested including Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, Duke and Oregon.
Previously Notre Dame appeared to be a leader after a recent visit to South Bend. Is that still the case?
"Out of the schools I've been to, Notre Dame was one of the most impressive," he said. "That doesn't mean anything. I haven't done my research on other schools and it can all change. I'm going to decide when I'm ready, I'm hoping during the summer."
