Justin Brown takes his first official

Rivals250 wide receiver Justin Brown took his first official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 209-pounder made his way to Rutgers on Thursday night for their game against Louisville and stayed until Saturday.
"I got there Thursday night and the game was great," he said. "They beat Louisville, throwing the ball a lot. They threw for 400-yards and the receivers were catching deep balls. What they were showcasing was great for me.

"The atmosphere was pretty good too. It's not like other schools since they haven't done as well as previous years, but honestly every school has a good atmosphere and fan support. To me it doesn't matter how big or small a stadium is, it's whether the school fits me."
On Friday, Brown hung out with his host, Tiquan Underwood.
"I hung out with him and then went to New York City to the ESPNZone with Coach Schiano and all the recruits," he stated. "The coaches went over some offensive things and they are all great guys. They talked about how they love to take shots down the field.
"As for Tiquan, he's a real great guy. He's down-to-earth and chill. He talked to me a lot about their new wide receivers coach and how he's taught him a lot of stuff and prepared them for the next level."
Before heading out on Saturday, Brown met with the coaches again.
" I talked to the offensive coordinator, Coach Susan and Coach Ciarrocca," he said. "It was great. They all have knowledge of the game and are great guys. I like that they use big receivers. Some schools are using smaller guys, I like a school that uses bigger guys."
The visit wrapped up with a meeting with Coach Schiano.
"It was great, he makes the same point every time we talk," he said. "He stresses how much he needs me. He talks about how the program is on the rise.
"I know they had a bad year, but every year you can't be great. LSU won the championship last year and lost to a few teams this season.
"Overall I really liked Rutgers. They answered a lot of my questions and stressed how much they want me. I also like that Tom Savage is there. I know he is a quarterback that can throw, that helps out a lot over other schools."
Brown has just begun his visits.
"I might be going to Iowa next weekend for an official," he said. "I have visits in January to Boston College and Penn State."
Brown recently added offers from Michigan and West Virginia, but mentioned he isn't considering those schools.
