Position: The twins play guard on offense. On defense Jeff plays linebacker and defensive line while brother Pete plays defensive line.
Size and Speed: Jeff stands 6-foot-2, weighs 255 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds. Jeff bench presses 310 pounds, squats 420 pounds and has a 23-inch vertical jump. Pete stands 6-foot-2, weighs 260 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds. Pete bench presses3 00 pounds, squats 420 pounds and has a 23-inch vertical jump.

Honors: Both Jeff and Pete were first-team all-state and all-league performers. Pete was also chosen Region Lineman of the Year.
Favorite Schools: The recruiting process is just beginning for the talented duo from Elko, Nev. And already the list of schools that are interested in the Cavender twins are impressive and they extend from coast-to-coast. The following is a sampling of colleges that are interested in the twins from Nevada: Nevada, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Florida, UCLA, Washington and Colorado.
The Skinny: The Cavender twins are extremely versatile and could play a number of positions on the next level. Jeff has the skill level to play offensive guard, defensive end, tight end or linebacker. Pete could end up being an outstanding offensive guard, defensive tackle or tight end on the D1 level.
Both Jeff and Pete are extremely quick and both are starting guards on the offensive that runs the Wing T. “Both Jeff and Pete are very fast and quick for their size,” said Elko head coach Bob Milligan. “They get to the corner in a hurry,” added Milligan.
The Cavenders were staples for a team that went 11-1 and made to the state quarterfinal game. “They are highly motivated young men who will be asset to any program,” said Milligan. “These young men are great in every aspect of the word and a pleasure to coach. They are the two best line prospects I have ever coached,” stated Milligan enthusiastically.
