Favorite Schools: Rogers listed Oklahoma first, followed by Kansas, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Michigan. He said he thinks he has an offer from Kansas, but at this time it does not look like the Jayhawks have offered him.
Skinny: Willie Rogers of Bartlesville, Okla., lists Terrell Owens as his sports hero. And you know what, it looks like Rogers has a little bit of Owens in him.
He has the attitude.
He has the confidence.
And most importantly he looks like he might have the talent to make it to the next level.
“I’m always hyped up,” Rogers said. “I’m confident in my game.
“I can run, jump and catch. And I’m smart. I know there is no DB that can hold me.”
He’s probably right.
Rogers racked up an impressive 1,026 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. It’s that type of play that has earned him attention from schools all over the Midwest and Heartland.
“I’m going to be looking at a school to see if they have a good football program and a good safe school for me to play at,” he said.
Rogers plans on camping this summer at Oklahoma and at Kansas – the two teams he said he’s followed the most growing up.
