Position: Offensive Tackle/Defensive Tackle
Size and speed: Tyler Luellen is 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 5.2 seconds.
Statistics: His coach graded the offensive line on consistency and he received a grade of 90%.
Honors: He was named first team all-conference, all-district and all-state as a sophomore and junior.
Favorite Schools: Luellen has an offer from Missouri and is hearing from Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Illinois, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Memphis, Michigan, Wisconsin, Army, and Purdue.
"Missouri has already offered, so they are recruiting the hardest."
As for a favorite he said, "I don't really know, probably Kansas or Missouri."
If he could take his official visits now, he would like to visit:
Missouri - "Gary Pinkell, the coach, wants nothing but the best and I have confidence in him to turn the program around."
Kansas - "The new coach could turn things around for the team."
Purdue - "They have always been a contender or are knocking off one of the contenders, so I would like to visit to check them out."
Notre Dame - "I have always been a fan. They have always been a traditional power and I would like to visit there."
Nebraska - "They are relentless on the field. It's close to home. The camp was good and the option is a good type of offense."
Skinny: "Distance will not be a factor, though I don't know for sure what I'm going to base my decision on as far as the preferences."
He rated his blocking ability on a 10 point scale at 7.5 to 8 for run blocking and a solid 8 for pass blocking.
He plans to possibly major in sports medicine or social science and wants to be all-state on both sides of the ball this year.
He named Kansas prospect, Kyle Knighton as his toughest opposing player.
Tyler benches 275 pounds, squats 365 pounds, and he has a 25 inch vertical leap.
He has a core GPA of 3.0 and will take the ACT in April.
