Favorite Schools: Florida, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Georgia, Stanford and Auburn top Choice’s early list of schools. He does not have any scholarship offers at this point, but expect him to get some in the May evaluation period.
Skinny: Playing in a passing offense can some times be a curse for running backs – but in the case of Lovejoy, Ga., standout Tashard Choice it might just be a blessing.
You see, Choice is able to showcase not just his running but also his receiving skills in Lovejoy’s diverse offense.
“Our offense is a passing type,” Choice said. “So, I don’t get a lot of carries and a lot of big yards every game. That means I have to receive the ball as well.”
And he does both quite well, already garnering attention from Florida, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Georgia, Stanford and Auburn. He’ll camp this summer at four schools – Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Virginia.
He’s also already thinking about a few things that will be important to him when it comes time for a decision.
“The education first,” Choice said. “The football program, depth chart and location will also be key for me.”
Another interesting fact about Choice is that he is related to former major-league baseball star Tim “Rock” Raines.
