Position: Defensive End
Size and speed: Ryan Kilpatrick is 6–foot-4 and 225 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.67 seconds.
Statistics: Last season Ryan Kilpatrick had 91 tackles, 14 sacks in nine games. “He sat out two games with an injury,” his high school coach Matt Cook said. “He had 17 tackles for loss, not including his sacks.” He also had two caused fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Honors: It was not discussed with coach Cook.
Favorite Schools: “He has been offered by Colorado State. Texas A&M, Nebraska, Colorado, and Arizona are hot on his trail,” coach Cook said. “He is also hearing from Michigan, SMU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, LSU, Missouri, Wisconsin and personal letters from Notre Dame to him.”
Skinny: “Besides playing on defense, he was our backup running back and had 70 carries for 671 yards and seven touchdowns. He punts for us too. He averaged about 37 yards per punt last year.”
Ryan Kilpatrick does more than just play football.
“He is a three-sport athlete,” his coach, Matt Cook said. “He plays football, basketball and baseball. He averaged 13 points per game and nine rebounds per game playing basketball. He is second in hitting on the baseball team. He is hitting .461 in 11 games with two home runs (in about 30 at bats). He is our leading base stealer too.”
“He likes baseball and football the most and he would like to play both sports in college. Baylor and Arizona State are looking at him for baseball. He is on the (Colorado) Rockies top 100 list.”
