Position: Tight end
Size and speed: Ron is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds. He runs a 4.8 second 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Ron had 30 receptions for 390 yards with two touchdowns as a junior. He also made 129 tackles and had 12 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on defense as a linebacker. Ron averages 12 points-per-game for his high school basketball team.
Honors: All-division
Favorite Schools: No favorites at this time. Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, Rutgers, Temple, West Virginia and Boston College have contacted him.
Skinny: Expect Ron to go into next season with another 10-15 pounds of muscle added to his already big frame. Ron plays basketball for Mater Dei and has not been able to get in the weight room as much as he would like. That will all change in the next couple of weeks as the basketball season comes to an end.
"I'll be working out hard once hoop season ends. I want to go into the season at 215 or 220 pounds."
Ron’s 6-foot-4 frame makes him a player that college coaches can develop into a much bigger, stronger player. He has very good athletic ability and runs patterns well to go along with his soft hands. He also is a very good blocker and comes off the ball hard and fast. As a linebacker, Ron has the quickness to run to the ball and that makes him very dangerous.
"I really have no preference about what position I play in college. I like both tight end and linebacker. I just want to play."
