Position: Defensive end
Size and Speed: Brooks is 6-foot-4, weights 240 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He bench presses 250 pounds and squats 380. His vertical leap was unavailable.
Statistics: As a junior, Brooks registered 14 sacks and averaged more than 10 tackles a game. As a fullback, he rushed for 783 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
Honors: all-Northeast Pennsylvania, first-team PIAA at defensive end, second-team PIAA at fullback, all-state.
Favorite Schools: Boston College, Michigan State, Iowa, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Colorado, Ohio State.
Skinny: Brooks is a big Florida State fan, but said he isn’t expecting an offer from the Seminoles.
“They all go after Florida kids,’’ he said. Brooks.
However, he does have offers from BC, Michigan State, Iowa, Maryland and Pittsburgh.
“And I should be getting an offer soon from Colorado,’’ he said.
Brooks said he expects to move to linebacker next season.
