Junior to Watch: Nick Borseti
School: Danvers (Ma.) St. John’s Prep
Size and speed: Borseti is 6-foot-3 and weighs 215 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Statistics: Borseti averaged 10 tackles per game last season and had 11 sacks in leading his team to an 11-1 record.
Honors: the Boston Herald named Borseti as one of Eastern Massachusetts’ best players.
Favorite Schools: Boston College, Penn State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Vanderbilt.
Skinny: Borseti is a tackling machine who runs well and loves to lay the big hit. He’s a very physical linebacker and takes on blockers well. Borseti is also a great pass rusher from his linebacker position. He was at Boston College Junior Day this past weekend.
“It was a good time,” he said. “We got a tour of the campus, watched highlight films and met with our position coaches and some others. I met with coach McGovern and coach Spaziani.”
Borseti will also go to Penn State’s Junior Day and isn’t sure what camps he’ll attend.
“BC and Penn State are my top two,” he said. “I’ve followed BC closely and they’re really a team on the rise. Penn State is also a team I’ve heard about for a long time and followed. Other teams might get in the picture, but those are the two I’m hoping to have offer.”
