Junior to Watch: Lawrence "Moe" Dampeer

Position: Defensive tackle
Size and speed: Dampeer is 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds. He has been timed at 4.8 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Dampeer has been a varsity starter on both sides of the ball since his sophomore season. During his junior season he made 96 tackles including 12 sacks.
Honors: All-conference as both a sophomore and junior.
Favorite Schools: Tennessee followed by Illinois and Miami. Other schools of interest include Nebraska, Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, Missouri, Michigan State, and Notre Dame.
Skinny: Dampeer will be one of the Midwest's top lineman next season. He has two scholarship offers in writing at this point, a number that is sure to increase.
"I'm talking to Illinois, Michigan, Miami, and Nebraska," Dampeer said. "But probably Tennessee is number one."
"But that's just right now. Illinois is right behind, and Miami too."
"Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, Missouri, Michigan State, those are some other schools I get mail from. And Notre Dame sent stuff a couple of days ago."
"Illinois and Missouri offered on paper. Michigan, Michigan State, and Nebraska have talked about offering."
