Junior to Watch: Kory Gedin
School: Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga
Size and speed: Gedin stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 233 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. He bench presses 335 pounds, squats 565 and power cleans 300.
Statistics: As a junior, Gedin made 170 tackles with 27 for a loss. He had four sacks and broke up seven passes.
Honors: First team all-conference
Favorite Schools: Maryland, Virginia, Stanford, Michigan, Florida State, North Carolina.
Skinny: Gedin is considered to be one of the top players in Maryland this year with great size and superb sideline-to-sideline speed. He’s also a running back on his high school team.
“I’m looking for a school with a good location, coach and academics,” he said. “I also want to play early and want a quality program that will contend.”
Gedin will attend summer camp at Maryland and the Terps have the early lead for his services.
