Position: Inside Linebacker
Size and Speed: Cobb is 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds.  He ran a 4.66 handheld timed 40 yard dash on his high school's track.
Statistics: He had approximately 60 tackles, three sacks, and one forced fumble that he could remember.
"I didn't get to rush that much last season, so my stats aren't very high," Cobb said.
Honors: Cobb made second team All-District and academic All-District last year.
Favorite Schools: He has no offers as of yet, but he is hearing from Texas A&M, Texas, UCLA, Baylor, Iowa State, Duke, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Miami of Florida, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Boston College, and Alabama, that he could remember.
"There are others that I've gotten letters from, but I can't remember them right off the top of my head."
"At this time A&M is recruiting the hardest and they would also be my favorite."
“Yes, Texas A&M is my favorite team,” Cobb said. “I guess you could say they are a pretty solid favorite, too.”
“My dream visits would be Texas A&M, Texas, UCLA and Oklahoma.”
If he were to make visits today, they would be to:
"Texas A&M, because I have friends going there, the coaches are great, their linebackers are known as the wrecking crew, and it just basically appeals to everything I'm looking for."
"Texas, I just really like the school and the town are great.  I also have friends and family in the area."
"Oklahoma, they are a great football program.  I guess Oklahoma is an all right area, but mostly it's the football program."
"UCLA, I was born in California and still have friends there.  The academics at UCLA are very good, so I've been told."
"Miami, it's a football school.  The program is great."
Skinny: “Right now I’m hearing the most from Iowa State and Texas A&M.”
Cobb said of his strong points: "My leadership, speed, and strength over other players."
“My strengths are my speed and quickness. Also I have only been playing football for three years, and continue to learn a lot.”
He describes himself as: "An emotionally involved player.  I'm pumped up and get the other players pumped up in the huddle."
He compares his style of play to that of 49'ers legend Ronnie Lott.
He attended a camp at Southwest Texas State last year and plans to attend this year at Texas A&M for a June session.
He plans to major in Architecture and has set his sports goals for next season.
"I want to make the All-State team, which would mean 150 tackles, ten sacks, five forced fumbles, and at least one interception."
"My ultimate goal would be to score a varsity touchdown, either off an interception, or fumble recovery."
Distance will not be a factor with Cobb.
"Distance will not really be a factor as the offer, the althletic program, good coaches, a good program, high standards, academics, good faculty members and a good tutorial staff are what's most important."
“I’m looking for a college that has solid academics, a good coaching staff, and a good weight room and program.”
Cobb said of his toughest opposing player: "There was a fullback from Coronado High who must have weighed at least 270 and was like hitting a brick wall.  That would definitely be my toughest opposing player."
He also throws the discus and shot put for his high school track team and has set his goal as making the regional meet.
He benches 270 pounds, squats 500 pounds and has a 25 inch vertical leap.
