Position: Inside linebacker
Size and Speed: Joseph is 6-foot-3 and weighs 205 pounds.  He ran a 4.7 hand held timed 40 yard dash.
Statistics: He had 93 tackles, two sacks, one interception, and three caused fumbles last season.
Honors: Joseph Castle was named to his district's All-District team.
Favorite Teams: He has no offers at this time, but he is hearing from Louisiana State, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Maryland.  "At this time LSU seems to be recruiting the hardest," Castle said.
Who would you make official visits to at this time if you could, and why?
" Iowa State, because I would like to go there.  The academics are good, and the campus looked nice in their literature."
"Iowa, as the game capacity on television made them look like a good school to play for."
"LSU, as I've seen them play a couple of times and would like to visit there."
"Arizona, I would really like to see what they're actually like, as I've seen them play a couple of times."
"Kansas, as I have a friend who went to Kansas and plays for them, and he told me about them and recommends them as a school."
Skinny: Castle said of his strong points: "I get to the ball, and my height gives me the advantage to see the field, and I have good hands."
He describes himself as: "I'm a good on-the-run player".  He compares his style of play to former Pittburgh linebacker Greg Lloyd or current Steeler Jason Gildon.
He attended camps at the University of Houston and a Houston combine last year, and this year he plans to attend a Texas A&M on Jun. 1 and possibly a camp at LSU.  He will probably make a day camp at Houston.
He plans to major in Communications and has set his sports goal already.
"I want to improve all my stats and the team record next season."
Distance will not be a factor.
"I will mainly be looking at the academic standards, the atmosphere of the people and the campus.  Bacially, if I like it on my visit, then that's probably where I'll go."
Castle is a Iowa Hawkeye fan, while his parents favor Nebraska or Miami.
At this time the favorite of the schools Castle is actually hearing from would be Iowa State.
He benches 225 pounds and has a 29 inch vertical leap.
He also plays power forward on his high school basketball team.
