Position: Offensive Tackle
Size and Speed: Jorrie Adams is 6-foot-7, 275 pounds, and has a 40 yard dash time of 4.85 seconds.
Statistics: Jasper finished last season at 10-2, advancing to the quarter finals of the state playoffs before losing.
Jasper’s coaches keep a statistic called decleaters for their linemen, and Adams totaled 70 decleaters last season.
Honors: First team All-District as an offensive lineman.
Schools recruiting: Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Louisiana State, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Baylor and Texas Christian.
Adams already has a bushel full of offers including all the schools listed above except Notre Dame.
Favorite Schools: “I guess LSU would be might slight favorite right now,” Adams said.
Skinny: “I feel that my strength is in blocking ability, both running and passing.”
Adams will be attending summer camps at Louisiana State and Texas A&M this year.
“Distance may play a bit of part in my final decision, but it won’t be a major factor."
Adams will play some tight end this year and feels he may even end up at tight end in college.
“I’m looking for a school that will offer a good education, good coaching staff and environment, and one where I can get some early playing time.”
Adams current grade point average is 83 on a 100 point scale. He is thinking of studying criminal justice in college.
