Junior to Watch: Jordan Seen
School: Beaverton, Ore.

Position: Defensive Back/Running Back
Size and Speed: Jordan stands 5-foot-11, weighs 190 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds. “We’re not that big on maxing on weightlifting,” said Beaverton head coach Faustin Riley “But let me assure you, Jordan is strong.” He is also explosive as his 31-inch vertical jump and his 9’6” standing broad jump would indicate.
Statistics: Jordan is a standout on both sides of the ball. On defense he led the team in tackles and in interceptions. Coach Riley didn’t have Jordan’s exact defensive stats but did say he has five picks. On offense as a running back, Jordan rushed for 1,300 yards while scoring over 130 points on offense.
Honors: Jordan was selected first-team all-league on both side of the ball as a running back and safety.
Favorite Schools: Jordan is keeping his options open but you can bet the two in-state schools are going give their best shot keeping this talented player in Oregon. Oregon and Oregon State will have to keep all the other Pac 10 schools as well as other leagues at bay. Seen may be the state of Oregon’s most sought after prospect this season.
The Skinny: Jordan burst onto the recruiting scene last spring where he was a standout at the Nike combine in Eugene last year. Many in the audience thought that Seen was the best cover guy in attendance and that was before his junior season!
Jordan is very motivated and sets very high goals. He then diligently works to achieve them. His very heady 3.9 GPA proves his drive in the classroom.
“Jordan is a great hitter,” said Beaverton head coach Faustin Riley. “He will run right through you. Jordan could be an outstanding Mike backer for us, but that is too risky for us since he such an important part of our offense,” added Riley.
This outstanding two-way performer probably projects as a safety but he could end up as a corner or running back on the next level.
Jordan has started since his sophomore year as a safety but he was brought up as freshman for the playoffs. This poised young man brought back kicks for a state championship team during his freshman season. He also averaged just under 11 yards per carry in mop up duty during that championship season.
His freshman performance was just prelude of better things to come…
