Position: Kicker
Size and speed: Hedge is 5-foot-11, weighs 175 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash 4.8 seconds.
Statistics: Went 5 for 7 on field goals and 53 of 56 on extra points as a sophomore. As a junior, again went 5 for 7 while making 59 of 60 on extra point attempts. Also averaged 41.7 yards-per-punt and had 44 touchbacks on defense.
Honors: n/a
Favorite Schools: Virginia, Florida State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Wake Forest.
Skinny: The best kicker in Virginia, Hedge is being heavily recruited. He has a very strong leg with excellent accuracy. Hedge is also a terrific athlete who also plays soccer and runs track as well. His school has traditionally sent players to Virginia Tech, but he wants to remain open.
“Florida State was always my childhood favorite but Virginia is close to home and Virginia Tech is very close to home and the new rising powerhouse in college football,” he said. “Michigan has great fan support and is an established program while Maryland has recently made people take notice. Wake Forest has great academics and they’re fairly close to home. They also have a beautiful campus.”
Hedge will camp at Virginia Tech and will attend Ray Guy’s kicking camp.
