Position: Defensive end/Middle linebacker
Size and speed: Joe is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and he has run a 4.75 handheld timed 40 yard dash at his school.
Statistics: His statistics were unavailable right now. He will have them available at a later date.
Honors: Joe Bauch made first team all-state, all-conference, all-district, and All-Metro by the Kansas City Star. He also was named honorable mention all-area.
Favorite Schools: At this time Bauch is hearing from Missouri and Northwestern with Missouri recruiting the hardest and also being the favorite.
When asked where he would visit if he could, he said, "I have no idea as I haven't thought about it. I just have to wait and see who offers and what they offer."
However, he would like to hear from other Big 12 schools like Nebraska, Kansas State and others.
Skinny: Bauch has attended school camps at his high school and may possibly make the Missouri one day camp this summer.
Bauch said of his strong points: "I'm deceptively strong for my size and my quickness and speed are my advantages."
He described himself as: "A get the job done type player. I do my job and let the rest of the team do theirs."
He is undecided on a major for college.
He has set his goals for next season as 10 sacks and to make it through the season healthy.
His toughest opposing player was one of the Rockhurst High School's offensive right tackles.
"Distance won't really be a factor, as I'll mainly be looking at the most comfortable fit in a program for my decision."
He benches 30 reps of 190 pounds, squats 15 reps at 290 pounds and has a core grade point average of 3.57.
He is looking forward to defending the state crown next year against rival Rockhurst High School and Liberty High School.
