Junior to Watch: Jesse Holley
School: Roselle, N.J.
Position: Wide Receiver
Size and speed: Jesse is 6-foot-4, 190 pounds and runs a 4.45-second 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Jesse had 44 catches for 865 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior. He also rushed for 150 yards and two more scores. As a quarterback from time to time, he passed for 300 yards with 25 completions on 55 attempts. As a free safety he made 48 tackles and had three interceptions.
Honors: All-county, all-area, second team all-state
Favorite Schools: Rutgers, Maryland, Miami, Syracuse and Virginia for now. He has also heard from more than 20 other schools such as North Carolina, Boston College, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Ohio State. He has offers from Maryland, Virginia, Wake Forest and Duke.
Skinny: A great athlete and one of the top players in the state, he played three positions on offense and two on defense last season. Although he has the ability to be moved around at the college level, all schools so far are recruiting him as a wideout.
"I had to play QB a few times last season, I also played running back a few times so I was able to get a lot of experience at different positions. I like wide receiver best and that is what everyone is recruiting me as."
Jesse has been to Maryland, Rutgers and Syracuse for junior days and might also be going to Virginia and North Carolina before the summer ends.
"I was already at Virginia last year and I really liked it. The campus is beautiful and the stadium is great. I plan on taking my time and my visits."
