Position: Linebacker/Tight End
Size and Speed: Jerome stands 6-foot-2, weighs in at 240 pounds and runs a 4.5 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Jerome collected 110 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks. He was also a standout tight end who had 475 receiving yards.
Honors: Johnson was a unanimous first-team all-league and all-city.
Favorite Schools: Jerome is hearing form all the biggies. Just a sampling from some of the schools this talented linebacker is hearing from: UCLA, USC, Oregon, Washington, ASU, Nebraska, FSU, Florida and Miami.
The Skinny: Johnson has a great attitude and is very focused as a football player. He’s a very outgoing young man who’s not afraid of asking questions and getting it right. Jerome has everything you look for in a linebacker – he’s tough, athletic, plays sideline-to-sideline and is an excellent reader of defenses. Jerome has tremendous desire and wants to be in on every play. Maybe that is the reason every school in the country is after the talented linebacker from Dorsey high school and of course his 3.8 GPA.
Dorsey high has a great rack record for sending players to the D1 level. Jerome looks to ber another in a long line of stellar players who will play D1 football. Many feel that Jerome will play on Sundays one day…
Just something to consider; Johnson is good friends with Stephon Moore and Marcus Binn. Both players are Dorsey alums and are current Oregon Ducks. The Ducks are doing a great job recruiting Dorsey highs school of late.
One More Before You Go:
Keep an eye on sleeper running back Kaylin Kines. He played behind Jermaine Moore (Oregon Duck Stephon Moore’s brother) last season. Kaylin transferred to Dorsey from Pasadena (Calif.) Blair. Kaylin stands 5-foot-10, weighs 170 and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6. He benches 225 pounds, squats 395 and cleans 295 pounds. Kines has a lot of heart and leaves it all on the field. Kines looks to be another in a long line of solid running backs from Dorsey high school. Kines will be the man for Dorsey and should be listed on your ones to watch list.
Stay tuned…
