Junior to Watch: Greg Chatman
School: Carson, Calif.

Position: Wide Receiver
Size and Speed: Chatman stands 6-2, weighs 185 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds.
Statistics: Greg led his team with over 40 pass receptions and scored five TDs.
Honors: Greg was ineligible for honors due to his academic standing. Still Greg is one of the best players in the very tough Marine League. If Greg qualifies there will be a stampede of college coaches to his house.
Favorite Schools: Greg is hearing from the likes of Arizona, ASU, Washington, Iowa State and UNLV.
The Skinny: Greg can absolutely fly. Chatman was part of the Golden State’s 4x100 meter champions.
Greg is very confident in his ability and for good reason. He’s a player. Chatman has real soft hands and catches everything in reach. “He’s the type of player who wants the ball in tight situations,” said Carson head coach John Aguirre. Greg backs his coach’s statement. He comes through when the pressure is on.
Chatman helped lead his team to playoffs but unfortunately he was ineligible for Carson’s playoff run. Greg has all the potential in the world. He definitely has the talent to play on the D1 level if he gets his academic house in order. Greg is currently working very hard to achieve eligibility for D1 play. If Chatman doesn’t qualify look for him to end up on junior college level and help some lucky JC be very good.
Chatman is a very special player…
