Position: Quarterback
Size and speed: Bowen stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, has a 225-pound bench press and squats 400 pounds. Bowen also has a 31-inch vertical.
Statistics: As a junior, Bowen completed 119 of 179 passes for 1,760 yards. He accounted for 16 touchdowns, 11 through the air.
Honors: Bowen was a second team All Conference performer as a sophomore and junior and was named his Team’s MVP both seasons as well.
Favorite Schools: Miami, Maryland, Virginia, Iowa, Purdue, Northwestern, Boston College.
Skinny: Bowen is a pro-style quarterback with a strong arm and good accuracy. He can also scramble when needed, but is most effective when he stays in the pocket. He was invited to Junior Days at Syracuse, Boston College and UConn and will camp at Purdue and some other schools as well.
“I was at Purdue’s Elite Quarterback Camp last year and I really liked it there,” he said. “I’m looking forward to seeing some other schools as well.”
In addition to the Purdue camp, Bowen camped at Miami and Boston College last summer.
“I like the way all of my favorite teams run their offense,” he said. “I also like the academics and locations.”
Bowen hasn’t received his first offer yet, but could have a few after the May evaluation period.
