Position: Defensive tackle
Size and speed: Patterson is 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds. He has been timed at 4.85 in the 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Patterson made 120 tackles including 16 sacks during his junior season. He has a 2.7 GPA.
Favorite Schools: Ohio State
Skinny: Patterson is one of the top line prospects in the state of Ohio. He starts on both sides of the ball, but is projected as a defensive tackle at the next level.
"I'll go to either the Penn State or Michigan State Nike Camps," Patterson said. "The Ohio State spring game is the same day as one of those camps I think."
"I'm going to try to go to Ohio State's spring game, then I would go to one of those Nike Camps."
"And I'll probably visit Boston College and Pitt."
"Michigan State, West Virginia, and Iowa have offered now too. And Michigan called my school."
"Ohio State is still my favorite. If I had to make a decision now that's where I would go. But I still want to see some schools."
Ohio State has offered Patterson a scholarship as have Maryland, Pitt, Boston College, Louisville, Minnesota, and Toledo among others.
