Position: Running back
Size and Speed: Damon is 5-foot-7 and weighs 170 pounds. He has a 4.40 for a 40 yard dash time.
Statistics: Carruthers had 912 yards last season on 102 carries (8.94 ypc). He scored 15 touchdowns. His team finished 8-2, with a loss in the first round of the playoffs.
Honors: First team all-district at running back.
Favorite Schools: Carruthers has heard from Boston College, Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, Nebraska and Michigan. He has yet to receive an offer.
He has no favorite.
Skinny: "My strengths are being quick and elusive," Carruthers said, "and I have good hands for catching the ball."
Carruthers is also quite strong for his size. He benches 235 pounds and squats 415 pounds.
Though he does not have any firm summer camp plans, he is looking into attending camps at Florida State, Oklahoma and Illinois.
"I’m looking at a school that has good academics and coaching staff, and a campus with a safe environment."
His dream visits would be to Florida State, Oklahoma, Miami and Michigan.
Carruthers currently has a 3.40 gpa, and is still undecided about his college major
