Position: Defensive tackle
Size and Speed: Brandon Teamer is 6-foot-5 and 262 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 5.0 seconds.
Statistics: Teamer started at both defensive tackle and offensive guard as a junior at Central in 2001.
As a defensive tackle, Teamer tallied 126 total tackles and added one sack and one interception.
As an offensive guard, Teamer helped pave the way for running back David Horne to rush for over 1000 yards (for the second consecutive year).
Honors: Teamer was named first team all-division and was an honorable mention all-state selection by both the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal/Star.
Favorite Schools: He is hearing from Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan and Iowa State and those are his favorites right now.
Skinny: Brandon Teamer figured he'd have to wait at least until summer camp to see his first scholarship offer. However, the 6-foot-5, 262-pound lineman from Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska was surprised last week when he was offered scholarships by Colorado and Nebraska.
"I don't really have a favorite between the two," Teamer said. "They are both really good programs. I'm also getting a lot of mail from Iowa. I'm going to sit down and talk things over with my parents and coaches and we'll see what comes of that. I don't know exactly when I'll be ready to make a decision. It could come soon or it could be sometime next season."
Teamer said that he plans to attend camp this summer at Nebraska (2nd session) and is looking into possibly camping at Colorado too.
Parent’s Preference: ”My mom loves Nebraska,” Teamer said. “She would like me to go there. My cousin went there a couple of years ago and she liked it a lot.”
“I’d prefer to stay in the Big 12 area,” Teamer said, “but I’ll keep my options open depending on who calls.”
