Position: Athlete
Size and speed: Amir stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 190 pounds. Amir runs a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and has a 34-inch vertical jump.
Statistics: As a running back he gained 1,100 yards and scored 12 touchdowns and also caught 20 passes for two more scores. As a free safety he had 95 tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception. Amir also is a guard on his high school basketball team and averages 14 points-per-game.
Honors: all-city, all-county, all-conference and was selected tri-state athlete of the week last season.
Favorite Schools: For now, Amir favors Syracuse and Virginia, but also mentioned Rutgers, Boston College and Penn State as others that he is interested in at this time.
Skinny: A top athlete in the state of New Jersey, he is hearing from more than 25 schools at this time. His ability to play various positions at the college level makes him a target of many schools. He attended both the Syracuse and Virginia junior days and thinks that both schools were very impressive.
"I really like ‘Cuse and Virginia, but I need to see some others before I really can start to narrow things down."
Not only is Amir a super player, but he is also a super student. A member of the "Play It Smart" program he is a leader on and off the field. He has not taken the SAT test yet, but does have a 3.0 GPA.
"A quality education is very important to me. Sure, I want to play big time football, but when it's all over I want to make sure I gained a great education."
Amir plans on taking all five of his visits before making a decision. He has no offers at this time, but you can be sure that they will be coming soon.
