Junior Texas duo ready to shine
Not that anything less should be expected from Tyler (Texas) John Tyler prospects, but the 2007 duo of lightning fast running back Kendall Hunter and dominating offensive tackle Marquis Franklin should make for numerous offers any day now.
John Tyler coach Thomas Brooks says that both players rank up there with several other top prospects that he's coached over the years. Coming from the talent rich area of East Texas, that's saying a lot.

"They're big time Division I players, there is not a doubt in my mind about it," Thomas said about Hunter and Franklin. "I'm just looking forward to great things."
Hunter, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound running back may not be the big, bruising back that are found across the recruiting landscape. However, when it comes to speed, Hunter has that and more.
"Hunter is the best running back I've ever been around," Brooks said. "This past season, he broke his ankle, but in five games he rushed for 800 yards. He's amazing. Every coach that came by and watched his film said that they wanted to offer him right then and there."
"I think the written offers will come because they're focusing on seniors right now."
Blocking for the talented runner is the 6-foot-5, 315-pound monster at right tackle, Franklin.
"Oh, Franklin is big, strong, and mean," Brooks said. "He's got that mean streak on the offensive line. Once he gets on you, he'll get you on the ground. I mean here is a big kid that moves well for his size and has just great lateral movement."
"Marquis had something going on with his knee earlier in the year, the doctors said he couldn't play, and the guy finished the season with us. He got the knee scoped and has finished up with his rehab."
While both players have attracted schools like Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and numerous others to the school.
Hunter may have grabbed his first offer.
"From what I know, Texas A&M has offered him," Brooks said about his running back. "Everybody wants these guys. It's just going to grow more and more. Plus, they're best friends so I can see them going somewhere together too."
Brooks says that Texas A&M, Texas, and one out-of-state school are plans for summer camps.
