Junior TE one of central-Ohios best

Columbus (Ohio) Brookhaven junior tight end Jeff Cumberland will be one of the top prospects in central-Ohio next season. The 6-foot-6, 220 pound Cumberland is big, fast, and athletic.
Cumberland was a starter at defensive end during his sophomore year while playing a little tight end. The opposite is true this year as Cumberland has been outstanding on offense as a blocker and receiving threat.

Through 11 games, all Brookhaven victories, Cumberland has 19 receptions and three touchdowns.
Cumberland averaged nine points and eight rebounds per game in basketball his sophomore year and recruiters are impressed with his combination of size and athleticism.
"I get mail from Alabama, Ohio State, Northwestern, and a few others," Cumberland said. "Indiana and Boston College are two more.
"I went to two Ohio State games, Penn State and Wisconsin. I've seen some games on T.V., but those are the only two I've been to.
"I like Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida State, Miami of Florida. I don't have a favorite really.
"I'm supposed to go to the Ohio State-Michigan game."
