Junior TE on verge of offers

Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints is home to one of the top quarterbacks in the state in Arizona State commitment TJ Millweard. However, he is not the only prospect at the private school.
His favorite target in the passing game, tight end Charlie Reid, has plenty of attention of his own. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound junior has been hearing from several programs.
"I've actually been talking to Texas Tech and that's probably my No. 1 school right now," Reid said. "I get letters from Alabama, Mizzou and Texas Tech - all them. I went to the Texas Tech one-day camp this summer and did pretty well there. I guess that's where they first saw me."

Reid plans to make his first unofficial visit this weekend to Lubbock.
"I'm actually going out there this Saturday for the Kansas State game," he said of Texas Tech. "They haven't really said anything about an offer just yet. We've talked a pretty fair amount and they seem pretty interested so I hope to get an offer from them sometime in the near future."
Another school that has shown interest and could be very close to offering Reid is a familiar one at All Saints.
"From what I've been told by my coach Arizona State seems pretty interested," he said. "I guess they saw me when they were watching TJ. I haven't talked to them though."
Right now, though, Reid is enamored with a couple of in-state programs.
"I like Texas Tech for sure," he said. "I've kind of always been a fan of them. I've been a fan of them and TCU, just kind of all of those hometown type of schools."
Reid has helped All Saints to a 7-0 start this year. He has caught 28 passes for 486 yards and four touchdowns. As a sophomore he recorded 28 receptions for 456 yards and three scores.
